You will stay in one of the Tamang houses with a Tamang family.
We will say goodbye to the family and continue our journey from Gatlang village. First, we will get down to Bhotekoshi river and cross a suspension bridge. Chilime hydropower can be seen nearby. After crossing the bridge, we will climb until we reach Tatopani (2380m). Tatopani means ‘hot water’, and as the name suggests, there are hot water springs in this village. Today also, you will stay overnight in one of the village houses after walking for about six hours.
It is a tough day in our whole journey. We will climb steeply to reach Nagthali viewpoint which is at an altitude of 3165 meters. This is the highest point in our trekking. Beautiful views of Langtang Lirung, Friendship World Treks, Kerung and Sanjen are the rewards for your arduous efforts to reach this viewpoint. Today you will enjoy a homestay in Thuman village
From Nagthali, we will continue our journey to another village. Today’s trekking will be relatively easier and you will get plenty of time to enjoy the landscapes and take photographs. We will get back to Timure village at 2050 meters. Overnight stay will be at a traditional Tamang house in this village.
There will be few ups and downs in the path to the last village of our journey. Passing through the forests of rhododendron, we reach Briddim village. The village is situated at the base of Langtang, at an elevation of 2235 meters. It will take us about four hours to reach the village consisting of less than 50 houses and a monastery called Dukchu Gompa. We will stay in one of those houses, your last homestay of this program.
Bidding farewell to the host family and Briddim village, we will walk along the side of Bhote Kosi river. We will pass through more villages with traditional houses and fields. Finally after four hours of trekking, we will reach Syabrubesi. It was the starting point of our trekking and also is the end point. You will stay overnight in a lodge.
After a memorable trip and homestay in different villages of the Langtang region, we will now return to the capital city, Kathmandu. A bus will take about eight hours to drive you from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu. Again, the total time will also depend on the condition of the road.
