Today after a light breakfast, we visit a variety of places in Kathmandu valley. You will explore Pashupatinath Temple and worship lord Shiva and learn about the culture more vastly, next stop will be Guheswori Temple one of the holiest temple 1 km east of Pasupatinath on the bank of the Bagmati river. We will then drive a short distance to the Boudhanath Stupa. In Boudhanath, wander the Tibetan-inspired streets and illustrate some local delicacies, Final destination will be Jalnarayan Temple (Sleeping Vishnu, Budanilkantha) which takes around 45 minutes and stretches into Shivapuri National Park, worship Lord Vishnu, and Transfer to Hotel. After breakfast, we will take a private vehicle towards Syaprubesi, which takes around 6 hours roughly. The road is full of towns and terraced farmlands which is also an experience to gather and know about hilly Nepal. Stroll around Syaprubesi and observe their lifestyle. Take as many rests as possible as tomorrow we need to start our walking journey.

We will board a Tourist Bus after breakfast and begin our journey along the black-topped road to the freshly opened friendship bridge at the Nepal-Tibet border. To get to the settlement of Saga, we’ll drive through the high hills on a nice black-topped road. The path climbs up and down the Thong La and La Lung hills before bringing us to the settlement of Saga in comfort. Along the route, we’ll visit Lake Peikutso and the Tibetan people’s traditional yak and sheep grazing techniques. Guesthouse for the night.

We will today go to the world’s highest freshwater lake in the early morning after breakfast. The holy lake of Mansarovar, which is greenish-blue in color, is located at an altitude of 4558 meters. The lake is said to have formerly been Lord Bishnu’s resting place. Mt. Kailash, Mt. Gurula-Mandala, and Lake Rakshash surround it. The terrible King Ravan is said to have created Lake Rakshasa, which is why the villagers believe the water is poisoned.

We’ll drive to Tarboche, a little town. The Kailash Kora’s beginning point is Tarboche. Tarboche is home to Yamadwar, the god of death’s gateway. We’ll travel a few hours from here to the settlement of Derapuk, which sits in front of Mt. Kailash’s north face. Beautiful views of the Gurla-Mandala, Ape, Kamet, and other high peaks will be available today.

Today is Kailash Kora’s longest and most difficult trek day. To get to Juthulpuk, we’ll climb up Drolma La, the highest pass in the area. First, we’ll travel to Jarok Donkhang, a small Tibetan settlement. We will then hike towards the Shiva-tsal. People are said to die a symbolic death in Shiva-tsal before being reincarnated. Once they reach the summit of the Drolma La Pass, they are said to be reincarnated. We’ll have a break here for a while before descending steeply to the Lham-chu Khir River’s banks. We’ll follow the river to the Khando Sangam La, which faces Mt. Kailash on the eastern side. We’ll arrive at the settlement of Juthulpuk. The location was named after the famed Juthulpuk Cave, also known as the Miracle Cave. We’ll be able to see the Buddha’s footprints along the road.

We’ll spend the morning exploring the caverns and temples surrounding the Milarepa cave. After breakfast, we’ll climb for 3-4 hours to finish our Kora and return to Darchen village. We’ll eat lunch there before returning to Saga village.

We’ll take a leisurely journey back to the town of Kerung. As we descend on a paved trail, we will have some free time. The rest of our time will be spent relaxing. Overnight at Kerung.
