Bokta Peak Expedition demands a high degree of commitment and previous experience of peak climbing. The climb to the summit is challenging with several technical climbing sections that one must overcome to reach the summit.
Boka Peak Climbing is an excellent opportunity to gain a thrilling experience of peak climbing as well as exploring the less beaten and pristine natural wonders of Kanchenjunga region. Additionally one gets to explore untouched lush valleys, breathtaking landscapes and experience the company of friendly locals whose lifestyles and traditions are largely influenced by ancient Tibetan culture.
Bokta Peak Climbing starts at Kathmandu. After spending a full day sightseeing around Kathmandu valley, we will take a short and scenic flight to Biratnagar. As soon as we land at Biratnagar we will take a drive to Taplejung which is approximately 5 to 6 hours drive journey. We start our trek from Taplejung on a trail that passes through isolated farmlands. And also through several small villages that are seldom visited by trekkers.
As we trek into higher altitudes, we will pass through the settlements of Sherpa and Bhotias tribe. Their culture and tradition are largely influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. Similarly, with good acclimatization days, we head towards the high camp, where our Sherpa crew will make necessary checks on our essential climbing gears as well as our health conditions for the successful summit climb of Bokta Peak.
Following the footsteps, we start early as the strong winds after midday can create obstacles to reach the peak summit. We will overcome several technical sections and head towards the Bokta Peak Summit. Once at the top we are with stunning views of Kanchenjunga, Kumbhakarna, Dhormo Peak, Nupchu and chains of other surrounding high peaks.
After spending short and quality time at the Bokta Peak Summit, we will descend following the same route and head back to Lapsang La. From there we will descend through the villages of Cheram, Mamangkhe, Lalikharka to finally arrive at Taplejung. Our thrilling adventure on Bokta Peak Climbing with Nepal Guide Treks and Expedition ends with a scenic drive from Taplejung to Biratnagar and from there a sweeping flight to finally arrive back to Kathmandu.
